Mobiltex’s alternative egress-solution that saves life

The company Mobiltex has more than 25 years of experience in developing life saving chute systems. It is usable for all people, including disabled people, to evacuate from high-rise buildings. It provides a means of rapid emergency egress that can be used by everyone – suitable for building-exit strategies. The product is named “the Ingström Escape Chute®”. Mr. Stig B Ingström developed the concept of “The Ingström Escape Chute” ® that allows people from tall structures to slide down safe to the ground. The product and its trade name was patented and marketed by AB Ingström & Co OY (the inventor's company) in 1982.

Mr. Ingström is a specialist in the textile industry with more than forty years of experience in technical fabrics. In 1982 he focused on to develop and produce the Ingström Escape Chute® system and to market it worldwide. The chute was originally manufactured in Finland.  In 1998, Mobiltex established office in Singapore and in Australia to expand its operations and to develop close working relationships with its customers, distributors in the Asia Pacific region. The company in Singapore is Escape Consult Mobiltex (S) Pte Ltd and the company in Australia is Mobiltex Far East Pty Ltd.

Today the Ingström Escape Chute® is manufactured by Mobiltex Evacuation Systems, with HQ /Sales Office and production in Sweden. The Managing Director of Mobiltex Evacuation Systems, Mr. Peter Adler, is determined to, not only to follow in his father-in-law’s footsteps, but also to develop the Ingström Escape Chute further and have it recognized as an alternative means of egress.

Mobiltex Evacuation Systems provides testing and commissioning, training, after-sales-service and maintenance through its authorized and trained distributors worldwide. All materials and parts used in the Escape Chute are special made. That is because it has to be able to withstand the environment it has to perform in. The chute consists only of materials with EU origin.

The Ingström Escape Chute is manufactured in conformance to its performance as “escape chute” tested by The Josef Tuliszkowski Scientific and Research Centre for Fire Protection, Warsaw, Poland, that permit evacuation from high-rise structures during an emergency. All the installations of the Ingström Escape Chute® worldwide have Guarantee/Trade Warranty of 18 months and with Product Liability Insurance.

Escape Consult Mobiltex (S) Pte Ltd is responsible for providing consultation support to agents, distributors and customers in Asia, Canada, and USA. The managing Director is Mr. John Ng who has been involved both in the fire safety industry over the last 16 years, and with the marketing of the Ingström Escape chute for over 12 years.

Mobiltex Far East Pty Ltd is responsible for the market within the Australasian (Australia and New Zealand) region. The managing director is Mr. Zacke Waldeback who has been involved both in the safety industry, and with the marketing of the Ingström Escape chute over the last 17 years.
